The inspection of module engineering is a pre shipment inspection of the product, which is a complete product inspection. By conducting product inspections through module engineering, we aim to prevent defective products from entering the market. The inspection process for module engineering varies among different factories. Next, let's learn about a basic engineering inspection process for high brightness LCD screen modules.
1. Display inspection
After voltage regulation and high-temperature aging, perform a display check first. When a display defect is detected, roughly indicate the type of defect and hand it over to the analyst for analysis and confirmation. Adverse phenomena can be divided into the following types: line defects, point defects, uneven display, flickering, grayscale defects, crosstalk, ripple, display offset, display foreign objects, display abnormalities, and residual images.
2. Electrical characteristic inspection
The content of electrical characteristic inspection includes: power supply current, power supply changes, and additional functions. The specific operation is to apply voltage to the module product, put it in the display screen state, measure the current value, change the applied voltage, switch additional functions (such as screen reversal function), and observe whether the screen can be changed according to regulations.
3. Optical characteristic inspection
The content of optical characteristic inspection is to use a colorimeter to measure brightness, contrast, brightness unevenness, chromaticity, etc. Generally test 9 points. Uneven brightness refers to the ratio of the full white brightness, maximum brightness, and minimum brightness of a specified point.
4. Appearance inspection
The content of the appearance inspection includes: foreign objects, scratches, bubbles and other adverse items that affect the visual effect, the content and position of the label, assembly status, and component defects. Generally, defects in the TAB line, foreign objects in the backlight, and poor assembly are the most unacceptable defects for users.
Observe the foreign object with a magnifying glass and change the viewing angle. If the foreign object changes with the viewing angle, it may only be known after disintegration on the TFT polarizing plate or the luminous surface of the backlight.
If the foreign object does not change with the change of observation angle, then the foreign object is in the display screen. When observing whether there are scratches or bubbles on the polarizing plate, do not apply any electrical connection. When scratches or bubbles are found, it is necessary to replace the polarizing plate, check whether the label is attached, and confirm whether the position is correct. The inspection of assembly status mainly focuses on checking whether the screws are in good condition and whether the CCFL of the backlight source is loose. After the appearance inspection, the qualified products can be packaged and stored in the warehouse.
In addition to the above inspection items, spot checks should also be conducted before the product is shipped. The purpose of sampling is to ensure the quality of the product and avoid defective products flowing to customers.
