Customers often ask questions about the viewing angle of display screens, indicating that our users attach great importance to this aspect. Today, the editor has specially compiled some knowledge about the viewing angle of LCD screens for better understanding of high brightness LCD screens, hoping to be helpful to everyone.
Due to its physical characteristics, when users observe the content of the display screen from different directions and angles, the clarity and quality of the screen will also vary. Compared to when viewed from the front, when viewed diagonally, when the image quality has changed to an unacceptable critical angle, it is called the viewing angle of the monitor, and there are three definitions of viewing angle.
1. Comparison
If you look at an industrial display screen from an oblique direction, compared to looking at it from the front, a white background will darken and a black background will brighten, resulting in a decrease in contrast. The general definition is that the angle at which the contrast drops to 10 is the perspective of the industrial display. When the definition is greater than this perspective, black and white are no longer easily distinguishable. This is the most commonly used definition of perspective in the specifications of panel manufacturers and monitor manufacturers.
2. Grey scale inversion
In theory, a high brightness liquid crystal display screen should go from zero grayscale (black) to two to five grayscale (white), and the higher the grayscale, the brighter it should be. However, industrial displays may see low grayscale brighter than high grayscale at a certain large angle, which is a phenomenon similar to black and white reversal. This phenomenon is called grayscale reversal, which defines the maximum angle at which grayscale reversal does not occur as the viewing angle, Beyond this angle, it is possible to see grayscale inversion, which is an unacceptable image quality.
3. Color difference
Looking at a high brightness display screen from different angles, you will find that the color will change with the angle, for example, the originally white screen will become yellow or blue, or the color will become lighter, and so on. As the angle increases, when the color change has reached an unacceptable critical point, the angle is defined as the viewing angle.
