As the mainstream technology in the current display screen industry, there are several types of LCD screens, each with different characteristics. Next, the manufacturer of high brightness LCD screens will focus on popularizing the types of LCD screens?
1、 TN LCD display screen
The biggest feature of TN is its relatively low price, low technology entry threshold, and wide application. Overall, TN LCD display screens are products with obvious advantages and disadvantages. They are cheap, have fewer gray levels in output, and have fast liquid crystal molecule deflection speed, which makes their response time easy to improve. However, their obvious disadvantages are unsatisfactory visual angles and unrealistic color performance.
2、 IPSLCD display screen
IPS stands for In Plane Switching, also known as Full View. Its biggest selling point is that its two poles are on the same surface, unlike other liquid crystal modes where the electrodes are arranged in a three-dimensional manner on both sides. Due to the electrodes being on the same plane, the liquid crystal molecules are always parallel to the screen in any state, which reduces the aperture and transparency. Therefore, the application of IPS on LCD will require more backlighting.
3、 VA LCD display screen
This type of panel is currently widely used in high-end LCD applications. The 16.7M color number and large viewing angle are the capital for positioning this type of panel as high-end. At the same time, VA can be divided into MVA panels and PVA panels.
1. The long axis of MVA's liquid crystal molecules is not parallel to the screen like TN mode when not charged, but perpendicular to the screen, and each pixel is composed of multiple liquid crystal molecules with this vertical orientation.
2. PVA wide-angle technology (soft screen), PVA wide-angle technology also belongs to the category of VA technology. In fact, it is extremely similar to MVA and can be said to be a transformation of MVA. PVA uses transparent ITO electrodes instead of liquid crystal layer protrusions in MVA, which can achieve better opening rate and minimize waste of backlight. This mode greatly reduces the possibility of "bright spots" appearing on the LCD panel.
LCD displays can be roughly divided into these categories: TN, IPS, VA (MVA, PVA), and each category has different characteristics. It mainly depends on what type of terminal product it is used on, and what is suitable is the best.
