The difference between soft and hard LCD screens
1. Different manufacturing processes
The hard screen technology was initially promoted by Japanese manufacturers such as Hitachi, and later LG made significant improvements, forming a unique S-IPS hard screen technology. According to Chen Qiliang, a director of the LCD branch of the Chinese Physical Society, the commonly known soft and hard screens in the market do have certain principles in terms of craftsmanship.
2. Basic physical properties are the same
A hard screen simply adds a protective film to the LCD panel and cannot alter the basic physical properties of the LCD surface. In the same situation, using the same signal source, comparing and watching two different LCD TVs, if there is a significant difference in image quality, the key issue should be the level of the LCD panel and the performance of the core driver, not the software and hardware of the screen.
3. Different response speeds
The response speed of hard screens is indeed faster, but the color of soft screens is softer than that of hard screens, and the difference in visual angle between hard and soft screens is not significant
